What is a widget?
A widget is a time-saving element of the device’s user interface, a visual building block that provides an easily accessible single interaction point with an application, which holds and processes data. There are thousands of types of widget.
Whats the prize ?
The winning designer will receive a Nokia N97 pre-loaded with their app. This will be awarded when the Nokia N97 launches – so the winner will know that they have one of the first officially released Nokia N97 devices.
The winning widget will also be awarded premium spotlight status on the main page of the new Nokia Ovi Apps Store, which is opening in May. It will be free to download in Australia, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Russia, Singapore, Spain, United Kingdom, and United States. The apps which come second and third at the Hackathon judging panel will also get spotlight placement on the sight.
