Apple posted a video which showed N97 Mini network towers going down from 7 to 2 when they held it in a particular way. I like macs, but Apple did the absolute wrong thing in putting up their competitors phones for comparison. No one never had any problem with N97 towers all this time. Just because they have a faulty product and they need to sell it, they are putting it all up. Kindergarden stuff in my opinion.
So what do you think about the whole issue? Noticed problems with your N97 / Mini prior to this?
Heres the link to the apple comparison page.

I cannot reproduce their results with my N97. I know they used a mini, but I do not have one of those, and Nokia (unlike Apple) makes more than one phone.
I have both and have tried the gorilla hold on them and havent noticed a thing
I can reproduce the same phenomenon on my N97mini… signal drops from full to 1 bar if held the way shown on the video.
Despite that, I have yet to have a call drop or a data connection drop because of holding my phone.
There are 2 different things :
1) Displaying the signal (linear, logarithmic, you name it) which can vary widely. This isn’t a miliwatt graduated display, it’s an arbitrary scale for consumers.
2) Actually using what’s available in terms of received electronic signal. And that’s what counts. Nokia N97mini doesn’t drop calls depending on how you hold it. iPhone 4 does.

I created “Death-Grip Antenna simulator for S60 5.x” application and it is available on my blog at http://www.qutomo.com/kannykka-kivaa/qutomoantenna-qt/
This helps you to experience death-grip with your N97 mini.
