February 24th, 2010Nokia N97 Mini now has a Gold Edition! It got released earlier today and costs €625 or $850 (approx).

The N97 mini Gold Edition is dressed in 18-carat gold and comes with apps like “ELLE 360Fashion”, which should help fashion lovers follow the latest trends and news.
Other than that, the Nokia N97 mini Gold Edition has the same features the regular edition includes: 3.2 inch touchscreen display with 360 x 640 pixels, full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, HSPA, GPS, Nokia Maps, 3.5mm headset jack, 8GB of internal memory, and a 5MP camera with autofocus and LED flash.
Gold Edition will be available across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
Google buzz on N97
February 10th, 2010Google buzz was released last nite. Its a social media tool which combines twitter, flickr, rss n others.
As of now, you only get the Google buzz layer on Google maps. But buzz.google.com is noted as “coming soon” to the Nokia N97 & Mini.

N97 Mini gets new firmware – V11.0.045
February 1st, 2010Earlier today N97 got the much anticipated V21 firmware update. Now, N97 Mini users can also update firmware to the all new V11.0.045.
The software contains many fixes and improvements over v10 firmware including:
- More free RAM after booting (around 6MB more)
- Improved call reliability
- Browser improvements
- Music player improvements
- Cleaner default (black) theme
- Improved image and video stability
Firmware V21 for N97 out now!

New firmware V21 for N97 is available now on Nokia Software Updater. Its 127 mb in size.
Changes according to Changelog:
- Improved call reliability
- Smooth touch screen scrolling
- Browser improvements
- Music player improvements
- Improved image and video stability
Heres what i noticed after the update: Theres a new black theme. Its simple yet slick. Noticed a massive improvement in the ‘Photos’ section. Its super smooth now. Some tweaks in browser, also in the camera interface.
