Update – Ovi Store v1.07(12)

Nokia updated Ovi Store to v1.07(12), the earlier one was v1.06(18). You can now see more applications of a single category without changing pages, the ‘load more items’ section keeps you in the same page but extends the application list. Niceee!

ABBYY FotoTranslate – Review & Giveaway!

ABBYY FotoTranslate is a new application to instantly translate foreign words on your N97 & Mini by using the built-in camera.

It combines optical character recognition (OCR) technology for converting images of words into text and mobile dictionary software. FotoTranslate delivers swift and accurate translation of words without the need for manual input of text, Internet connection, cellular signal, or access to any external language resources.

It allows the user to enter a word by pressing only one button once (to take a picture of the word). The user simply takes a photo of the text with their mobile camera. The use of high-quality ABBYY OCR technology greatly reduces the risk of input errors.

The application does not require the mobile device to be connected to the Internet or to the mobile network. The user does not use up traffic and can freely use it in roaming. Voice Search now on Google Maps v4.1

Google released a new update for Google Maps – v4.1. Has few changes, including the big one – Voice Search!

Search by voice lets you easily search for anything by simply speaking your search terms instead of typing them. Just open Google Maps, press your phone’s “call” button, and clearly speak your search term like “Park Plaza.” Search by voice works with all the kinds of searches Google Maps for mobile already supports, including places, addresses (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway), specific businesses (The French Laundry), or types of businesses (sushi restaurants new york).
