February 10th, 2010Google buzz was released last nite. Its a social media tool which combines twitter, flickr, rss n others.
As of now, you only get the Google buzz layer on Google maps. But buzz.google.com is noted as “coming soon” to the Nokia N97 & Mini.

For it to work, you need to download the latest Google Maps version 4.0.0 from http://m.google.com

Installing Ovi Maps on N97
January 21st, 2010Official support for Ovi Maps on N97 will be coming on 28th Jan 2010. But you can get it working on your N97 right now! Heres how.
Step 1. Download the Ovi Maps .sis file from http://nokia.com/maps/download/ Select phone as Nokia N97 Mini. Click on the square area from the pic below.
Step 2. Copy the Ovi Maps .sisx file to your N97. And using File Manager on your mobile, open the Maps .sisx to install.
Free navigation with Ovi Maps on N97 Mini
January 21st, 2010Its breaking news right now. Ovi Maps will provide free navigation. Its available for download on the N97 Mini right now. But it wont be working on the original N97 (as of now) since a minimum of 20mb is required in the C drive for the ovi maps installer to start working. Original N97’s support will be added in a weeks time. V2.1 firmware release also scheduled for next week ..

Handy Taskman for N97
January 19th, 2010Its one of the must-have apps for your N97. It works by getting you control the various running applications.
Here are some of the features: [copied from their official site]
- Find and start the desired application by typing the first letters of its name.
- Create shortcuts in the Favorites list to start applications, call or send SMS to the Contacts with just one click.
- Run Handy Taskman by pressing and holding Menu button (like the built-in Task manager).
- Get full information about running programs and free memory left on the phone (RAM, Phone memory and Memory card).
- Switch to, Close, Kill any application or Close them all in one click.
